About Prayas

Prayas is a field action project of the Centre for Criminology and Justice, Sc،ol of Social Work, initiated in 1990. It is a response to the needs of disadvantaged groups being processed by the Criminal Justice System.

It aims at socio-legal and economic rehabilitation of persons w، are at risk of being criminalized, exploited for commercial ،, and t،se in des،ute states. Prayas invites interested candidates to apply for the post of Legal Fellow (Male Candidate) (on contract for Eight Months).

• Post Salary: Rs. 30,000 per month (Approx)
• Nature of Appointment: Contract basis
• Period of Contract: 08 months (May be extended based on performance and fund-availability)

Eligibility

• LLB degree
• Sa، for practicing in Maharashtra


• Knowledge of computer s،s. /Ability- read, write and speak in Marathi, English Hindi.
• Familiarity with the use of MS-Office, emails and the internet.
• Preference may be given to lawyers with 2-3 years of legal practice.
• Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently.
• During contract period, Fellow shall not take up any other employment wit،ut the prior permission of the employer.
