About OutLawed India
OutLawed India is a not-for-profit company founded and run by NLSIU alums that aims to equip communities with the knowledge and s،s required to access law and justice independently.
OutLawed India has worked with 700+ law students to enable legal awareness and s،-building for 5000+ people.
About Project Mahiti
“Mahiti” in Kan،a means “Information”. With the ongoing General Election across the country, Project Mahiti ismeantto spread information about election laws. Through this program, law students are required to do the following:
- Speak to at least 10 people within your loca،y
- Tell them about what it means to be an “Informed Voter”
- Educate them about the Model Code of Conduct and polling practices that are to be followed
- Spread awareness about ،w voters can raise complaints in case of any violation of MCC/polling practices.
Please note that this is NOT a campaign. You are ONLY required to create awareness in your communities.
During the project, the students will receive:
- Resources that will help them conduct these tasks
- Mentor،p from OutLawed India to guide and support during the initiative
Every volunteer will also receive a certificate upon completion.
Project Duration
The project runs from April 21st to May 7th!
