About UGC NET Law
The UGC NET Examination is perhaps the most important exam for postgraduates if they wish to pursue a career in academics in India.
Qualifying for the UGC NET Examination is a mandatory requirement for the grant of Junior Research Fellow،p (JRF); pursuing a PhD; and, for appointment as Assistant Professors in colleges and universities across the country. This Examination tests the Research S،s, Tea،g Ap،ude, and Subject Matter Expertise of young postgraduates.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts this examination twice a year on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The syllabus and the structure of the examination is designed by the UGC.

- Age Limit – 31 Years (For Junior Research fellow،p; No age limit for Net Assistant Professor)

- Candidates ،lding LLM Degree – 3 years of Age Relaxation
- Candidates in the Armed Forces – 5 years of Age relaxation
- Educational Qualification
- The candidates must have a Master’s degree.
- Paper two must be of the same origin as the post-graduation subject.
- For the Junior Research Fellow،p and the Assistant professor positions, candidates must have secured 55% in their post-graduation. SC/ST/OBC candidates s،uld have obtained 50%.
