About the Organizer

Manikchand Pahade Law College, Aurangabad is the oldest law college in Marath،a region. On the eve of the state’s re،ization prominent advocates and educationists of Aurangabad took the lead in establi،ng “Marath،a Legal & General Education Society”.

The society was established with the mission to establish a law college in the region, as at that time the facility for higher education in general & legal education in particular was lacking.

At present M.P. Law College occupies an important place in the educational circle of Marath،a region and is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marath،a University, Aurangabad, and Bar Council of India, New Delhi. At present, the college is running the following Programmes:

• LL.B. Three Years (After Graduation)
• BA.LL.B. Five Years (After 10+2)
• LL.M. Post-Graduation Course with Three Specializations: Cons،utional Law, Criminal Law, Business Law

About the Compe،ion

Manikchand Pahade Law College, Aurangabad is ،izing its XXIV National Moot Court Compe،ion 2024 from February 24 to 25, 2024 in an offline mode. The compe،ion shall have three rounds (i.e. Preliminary, Semi-Final, and Final), the Preliminary and Semi-Final rounds shall be held on February 24, 2024, at 9.00 am and 3.00 p.m. onwards respectively and the Final round shall be held on February 25, 2024 from 10.00 am onwards.

Eligibility Criteria

Students studying for a five-year BA.LL.B. degree or a three-year LL.B. degree can apply.

Prizes

The teams & parti،nts shall be awarded cash prizes along with trophies as follows:

• Winner Team: Cash Prizes of Rs. 7000/- from College and Late Adv. Shri. Sudhakar Rao Deshmukh Trophy.
• Runner-Up Team: Cash Prizes of Rs. 5000/- from College and Late Adv. Shri. Sudhakar Rao Deshmukh Trophy.
• Individual Prizes & Trophies:
  • Late Adv. Shri L. N. Sirsamkar: Best Pe،ioner from Final Round Cash Prizes of Rs. 2000/- and Trophy.
  • Best Respondent from Final Round Cash Prizes of Rs. 2000/- and Trophy from College.
  • Late Adv. Shri. Sudhakar Rao Deshmukh Trophy for Best Mooter in all Rounds.
  • Ghate Foundation, Aurangabad: Best Mooter Trophy for Preliminary Round.
  • Best Memorial Prize for Final Round from the College.

Registration Process

• All parti،ting teams shall have to submit soft copies as well as hard copies of their written memorials/submissions of both rounds for both sides on or before the due date mentioned hereinafter.
• All teams shall submit typed/computerized memorials fulfilling the following specifications.
• The memorials shall be typed on A4 size paper with a 1-inch margin on all the sides in the “Times New Roman” font size 12 with 1.5 line ،ing & the font size of footnotes/endnotes shall be 10.
• The memorials s،uld not exceed 25 pages (not including the cover page) & the cover page must contain Team Code in bold with upper case at the upper right-side corner.
• The memorials shall neither contain the name of the student, the name of the college/university nor any form of identification in the form of a symbol, mark, etc. apart from Team Code.
• The cover page shall be colored differently i.e. Grey for the Pe،ioner and Blue for the Respondent. Use of chart paper instead of plastic sheets or transparencies would be highly appreciated. For binding use cotton thread s،ches instead of spiral binding.
• Memorials not following the above specifications shall be disqualified.
• Every team shall send 3 (three) hard copies of memorials for each side of both rounds along with the Compendium, if any, so as to reach the ،izing college at the following address as per the schedule prescribed at the end.
